Museum of Glass Decanter Series
Celebrating his love and support for the arts, Glass Distillery founder, Ian MacNeil, joined creative forces with glass artist Benjamin Cobb to design and create a collectible set of hand-blown decanters. The proceeds from the sale of these gorgeous works of art support the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington.
Representing the 12 months of the year, Ian and Ben chose a unique color and designed a distinctive glass chop used to adorn the front of each decanter. Only 12 limited-edition decanters of each color and monthly design were created. The series has 144 bottles. Each piece of art is hand-blown, signed, and numbered by both artists.
This Collector’s Edition bottle is presented in an exclusive custom made Sapele wood case along with a separate glass ornament representing that month’s glass chop. Each bottle was hand-blown in the Museum of Glass Hot Shop by Ben and his team of gaffers. These works of art are sold exclusively at the Glass Vodka Boutique & Tasting Room.
The distillery’s name pays homage to the glass artists of the Pacific Northwest. Similar to the art of blowing hot glass, Ian contends vodka itself is a liquid art form. As a member of the board for the Museum of Glass, this partnership is one about which Ian is particularly passionate.
